The environment
This part can be confusing at
least. Everybody wants to make money, and the way they do it is selling
their products and sites. When you join an affiliate program, you will
have an up line, and hopefully develop a down line. As in real life, it
is risky to base your existence on one income alone. Therefore, it is
important to spread out and join a suitable number of affiliate
programs. The number is for you to decide, it depends on your time and
the size of your wallet.
If you look at this page, it
soon becomes clear, that I recommend (read: sell) a number of sites and
products. These I feel good about, and intend to develop. I use this
site to describe what they are about, and how they can be used in
conjunction to benefit your marketing career. In the end, if you take
my word for it, and sign up for one or more you will be in my down line
and I will profit. On the other hand, if I was to recommend something
that I hadn´t looked into and it turned out to be crap, I would never
hear from you again...Same goes for you, if you decide to sell stuff
you don´t know about.
The environment within the team,
or pyramid if you will is our one and only place where we have a common
interest: to help each others make money. I could have a dozen sales
people under me, trying their best without luck. If I come up with a
brilliant idea, or buy a book full of them, I would be stupid not to
pass them on to my down line. Hell, if it helps your down line sell
better you don´t have to work so hard yourself!
On the other hand, everyone
OUTSIDE the team is competition, or at least potential members or
buyers. No one in their right mind gives away free information to
outsiders without profit in mind. The Internet is a cutthroat
environment, and the real gurus keep their secrets well guarded. Why do
you think that 90% of all e books have the word "secret" in the title?
Because it sells!
They will sell you a secret that doesn´t work for them anymore, just to
mop up the last drops of profit. What you want to find is a membership
site, where the owner profits from your success, then you will get use
full advice. Not all membership sites are good though, hence this site.
Recap:
People within your team must be treated with RESPECT! Don´t
bombard them with use less offers just to make a quick buck. Give them
valuable information, sell them valuable products and remember that
good news travel slower than bad news.
People outside the team are potential competition. Offer
them a treat if they join your team, or see if what they are doing
could benefit your team in some way. Check out joint ventures for more on this.
