Niche markets

A niche market is a very specific market that consists of a very narrow group of buyers. If we stick with the soccer example, you could make a niche site about soccer gear. When you narrow your target audience to just soccer fans you can not expect to sell anything else to them. That doesn´t matter, you can have many sites in different niches. The idea here is, that you make a soccer mini site where you can show case the products from the affiliate program or programs you have joined. No need to limit yourself to just one program.

You come up with a catchy name for your niche site and market the site to get traffic. Once there you need to grab them for your list! Have a newsletter, or a free book they must sign up to get.

Finding your niche

This is the challenge. You need a market with more buyers than competition. You also need to have some knowledge on the topic so you can recommend your products. If the product is a physical item your affiliate program may not want to ship world wide, so I still fancy information products also because they can be sold multiple times. If you have several niches in mind, maybe some of them could be inter linked. Say, people buying shoes might also be interested in hats. So just try to be specific when you define your niche.
